Fees

Half Day Mediated Negotiations or Arbitrations

Springfield/Northampton (2 ½ hours) - $500 per law firm
Other Western Massachusetts locations, Worcester or Hartford (3 ½ hours) - $800/firm
Boston area (3 ½ hours) - $900/firm

Full Day Mediated Negotiations (5 ½ hours) or Arbitrations (6 hours)

$1,500/firm ($1,250/firm for Western Massacusetts locations, i.e., west of Worcester County)
Full day fees are reduced by $300/firm if there are four or more law firms paying them.
The full day fee for mediated negotiations includes lunch for attorneys and their clients at most of our locations.
If our location does not provide lunch, the full day fee is reduced by $50/firm, and by an additional $50/firm if the session is held at one of the parties’ offices. There are no fee reductions for half day sessions.


Additional time is billed at $200 per hour per law firm.

Separate fee policy

If your client has interests separate from those represented by other participating attorneys, you pay a separate fee.
If an insurer hires more than one law firm, the first firm pays the full fee; each additional firm accompanied by the same adjuster pays a flat $100 fee.

Cancellation or postponement policy

There is no charge if the reserved date is filled with another case. If the date is not filled, the party responsible for the cancellation/postponement is charged:
      a. one-fourth of its session/hearing fee if there is less than 15 days but more than 48 hours notice;
      b. its full session/hearing fee if there is less than 48 hours notice.
If the parties dispute responsibility, or if the case settles, they divide the charge equally.
